Camera tests with Fortress Island Films

Last weekend was spend doing a camera test for the guys from Fortress Island Films for an upcoming project that requires a shallow depth-of-field, so we’re going to be using a lens rig that allows us to use 35mm still camera lens’ on our digital cameras.

You can see the finished video here (youtube.com).

Here are a few pictures taken on the day:-

Photos from the set of ‘Black’

Here are a few pictures taken during the filming of our last short ‘Black’. It was filmed at a disused swimming pool at Fort Regent in Jersey as this allowed us to drape the greenscreen material inside the drained pool and could film down into it. When we first arrived to scout it we thought we’d need the deep end, but upon seeing the pool we realised that the shallow end was the perfect size (also, we wouldn’t have anywhere enough material for the deep end!).

New Documentary online

We’ve got a new documentary online for you guys/girls to check out!

Made by our good friend and part-time NVP member Andy Mangnall, it’s an interesting look at what drives two photographers, each with a different style or way of looking at their subjects…

You can see it either on the projects page or here.

Oh and there seems to be an audio sinc-ing problem with ‘Drip Dry’. Will get this sorted soon…

fixed!

Finally sorted out the audio problems on some of the videos, so please go ahead and watch them in all their glory! There may be some bugs still so again, if you come across some, let me know.

Problems with audio

Just realised that there are a few audio problems with Black/Drip Dry/End of the Thread……

As in there is no audio!

A small oversight when it came to the exporting side of things for the web versions so i’ll get this sorted quickly before you all start thinking that we’re bringing back the silent film era.

welcome to the new NVP site

Hey there,

Finally got round to creating the new NVP site (as the old one was only supposed to be a temp site) and so hope you like the look of it. We’re going to update a lot more via this blog, with news of the upcoming projects, pics from ‘behind the scenes’ on other projects, etc.

There may be a few bugs so if you spot them, let me know at info@normalvibes.com.
